Marc Childs

Marc ChildsMarc is the principal of Childs Davidson Limited. He is widely regarded by major FMCG clients globally as a leading expert in customer engagement strategy, trading strategy and best practice research. He is regularly called on at the highest level internationally to provide expert advice on industry best practice in commercial strategy, marketing and sales methods, organisation design and change management: a regular guest speaker at industry forums and conferences at global and regional level in Europe, North America, Africa and Australasia.



Marc is an experienced trainer, public speaker, negotiator and facilitator of group problem solving. He is also a prolific analyst and author of editorials on industry issues that are regarded by many on five continents as an authoritative and insightful source. Between 2008 and 2012, Marc assisted the high-level New Ways of Working committee of GCI, which later merged to become the global Consumer Goods Forum committee on Operational Excellence. He developed for this committee a new model for collaboration between trading partners, based on worldwide research among leading retailers and suppliers. After piloting in Poland, the UK, the US and Canada, this has since been adopted as an industry standard.

Howard is General Manager, Operations at Childs Davidson Limited. He is an accomplished and resourceful strategic marketing and sales consultant with a wealth of corporate and consulting experience and a proven track record in delivering profitable results. Howard’s key areas of expertise include marketing and sales capability audits; development of commercial processes and practices; trade promotional analysis and optimisation; strategic customer engagement and commercial and channel strategy.

Howard has experience in Asia (including China and Korea), Australia, New Zealand, UK, South Africa, Europe (including Western and Eastern European markets), Middle East, USA, Canada and South America.

Howard’s ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, combined with his extensive knowledge, allows him to cut through and focus on the key issues and opportunities.
